"DA-ppie"
My niece, Rachel, I believe will one day be a constant talker. Her cousin, Isaac, on the other hand, seems to be better at giving you a look. But Rachel, she is all about expressing herself. I'm sure at some point Papa Smurf will tell her she needs to express herself more, just like he does her Aunt Jess. We have enjoyed watching them grow and hearing the new things that come out of their mouth. While I was living with my parents for 5 weeks, I had the opportunity to listen to them "talk" quite often. Isaac walked in the door my last evening at home, and just started "talking" up a storm...we had no idea what he said, but it was clear he had something on his mind and we sure did enjoy a good laugh over it. Rachel too had her moments. She particularly finds my parents dog to be quite amusing and often "tells" him how she feels. (I'd love to know what's going through her little baby mind.) She would often point at the dog and giggle. I had the camera rolling on one such occasion and she was finally starting to make an attempt at saying his name. She would walk around repeating it over and over again. We got a kick out of it everytime! I love my nieces and nephew! They make life so much more interesting. The following is a clip of Rachel saying "DA-ppie"...I could watch it all day and never tire of hearing it! Rachel, your Aunt Jess misses hearing you "talk".
