Mike and Maegan’s youngest little guy turns 1 today and his party was last Saturday and I think he takes the cake for the coolest party so far this year. He not only had the brightest personality but the best entertainment for miles!

Maegan’s mom is quite the talented baker/decorator and Isaiah was quite pleased with his cake…so much so that when they took it away to cut it up, he was no longer the happiest dude at the party. It was there one minute and gone the next…he was not happy!!
Isaac and Elianna took the moment to dig in behind Isaiah’s back…some day Isaiah, those little hands will be snatching cake away at Isaac’s party, just you wait little man.
But the real hit at the party wasn’t the cake or presents but a surprise much bigger! Jamie and I had been in the market to find Papa Smurf a pony cart for his pony Ted. His whole purpose for getting Ted was to give pony cart rides for the kiddo’s…only Papa Smurf. Well, we surprised Papa Smurf earlier that day and I think his smile above says it all. Needless to say whatever he had on his agenda for the rest of the day feel by the wayside after we arrived. Mom and I arrived ahead of Papa Smurf and Jamie, following behind in the truck, and got the kids out on the street to watch Papa Smurf arrive in grand form.

Everyone was surprised by Ted’s arrival and couldn’t wait for a trot around the block. Isaac was in no way thrilled about Ted or taking a ride with Pappy but after he got on, he wanted another ride. Looks like Ted won everyone over.

Grammy helped to entertain Caleb while Lacey took the reins for a while and let Papa Smurf assist with the yummy chipsteak sandwiches and corn-on-the-cob we had for dinner. The guys in my family sure know how to throw a yummy party.

I got dinner and a show as my seat between these two birds was quite entertaining. I have no idea where Rachel comes up with the crossed legs or…
…the facial expressions.

Along with the blue eyes, many smiles, and drool…

…this cool party also sported a piƱata…
…more drool…

…wagon races…

…lots of laughs…(Grammy and Rachel were having quite a deliciously fun time eating a cupcake and I think after a while they just started feeding off one another…it was again quite entertaining to watch).

…roller skates and pads…and the embarrassment of the fall on the skates…(but Uncle Mikey saved the day and made the boo-boo better.)

…conversations between the men and the ladies…
…and more corn and smiles. *whew*

Daddy and Isaiah again shared some shoulder time and I have to giggle every time this duo does this. Isaiah is a nosey little bugger and after a few minutes up there he has to peek down and check out the guy whose carrying him. Mike says he does this all the time…it’s hilarious! They both ended up laughing quite a bit over it…to which my heart melted into a puddle of goo.

Grammy got Isaiah this totally rad Scooby hat…ain’t he cute?! Pappy had to have a little Isaiah time and we all had to laugh when he shook his head at Isaiah and Isaiah started mimicking him. There was always about a 2 second pause before Isaiah repeated what Papa Smurf did…had us howling!
And just as Isaac had to wave goodbye to Ted as he drove off…this post has now come to an end…I know windy as ever!

As a side note, my brother Jason took quite a few of these pictures and I think he did a fabulous job! Thanks, Digger, for taking over for me so I could chase Isaac around the yard and soak up some drool...although what in the Sam Hill am I going to do with over a 1,000 pictures from this one event?? I think I'm going to teach you how to burn CD's and upload pictures since you're so shutter happy...that'll teach you not to take 1,000!! pictures next time...I may thank you but my computer's memory is not happy!! (Maybe we should go into business together...we could name it Shutter Happy.)
